I have no words. Please, watch the video below, donate, and spread the love for Maddie, Nella, and all the other 400,000 individuals living in the U.S. with Down syndrome. (Also, check out Maddie waving at around 5 1/2 minutes in!!)
I watched the video and teared up when I saw Maddie wave. Then watched it again and cried when I saw both of her little hands going. Then watched it a third time and balled when I noticed the proud look on her face as she waved. And thought about how proud you and Grant must be when you watch that (and anything else your kids do)!
Katie, I can't get even 30 seconds into the video without crying. Just thinking of it brings tears to my eyes. They did such a great job capturing all the kids in this video.
Every time Maddie waves, she looks down at her little hands and turns them toward herself and watches them move in amazement. There just are no words to describe all of this. I don't think I fully appreciated all of these things with Aiden. It was different, he mastered one thing and moved on to the next. Maddie savors every little victory and draws you in to be a part of that. We are so very, very lucky to have her, and I couldn't be more proud of her.
